The Director of Talent Acquisition is responsible for the design, development and execution of the employment branding and talent acquisition and recruitment programs.  The person’s role consists of creating agile strategies to meet labor market standards and enhancing recruitment processes to attract and retain high performing talent.

 RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Develop strategy and enhance Talent management process:

  •  Designs, recommends, implements, and leads our overall Talent management strategy.
  • Accountable to continuously look for ways to improve candidate experience as well as new hire experience in the digital environment.
  • Optimizes the recruitment processes and ATS to create a positive candidate, hiring manager and onboarding experience.
  • Review the onboarding process to analyze gaps and suggest improvement.
  • Lead employer branding and work closely with the marketing team.
  • Establish and maintain key metrics to measure performance of talent management efforts and initiatives.
  • Manages a team of approximately 4-6 recruiters.

 

 Responsible to implement and operationalize attraction and retention strategy

  •  Build and lead attraction and retention strategy for sales and non-sales roles.
  • Develop a recruiting strategy that includes the internal referral incentive program and social media networking to increase the pool of talent.
  • Leverage market insight to guide recruiting methodologies and practices that support the talent acquisition teams in elevating the overall hiring process, quality of selection and enhance overall candidate experience.
  • Establish key partnerships for campus recruitment events and social media recruitment.
  • Responsible to create programs including diversity and inclusion strategies to increase our talent pool.
  • Coordinate with business leaders the arrival, orientation and onboarding of new hires.

 

Manage third-party partners and agreements

  •  Establish and maintain positive relationships with external companies and secure the best product and service offering to meet the needs of the organization.
  • Negotiate annual contracts with recruitment service providers (iCims, Indeed, Glassdoor, etc.)

 

Workforce planning/Job evaluation

  •  Train and inform business leaders on current recruitment processes.
  • Work with business leaders to understand their hiring needs and to find the best recruitment strategy.
  • Provide guidance to business leaders on strategic workforce succession planning including job evaluation, internal mobility and resource planning.
  • Assist in job evaluation of staff positions from job analysis to compensation review to match the market.

 

Manage the Talent Acquisition team according to mission and vision

  • Establish department and individual goals to meet the hiring needs of the organization and a high-quality candidate experience.
  • Recruit and train new recruiters to meet recruitment standards.
  • Act as a mentor to support the Talent Acquisition team.
  • Supervise and evaluate the team’s performance and provide ongoing feedback to reach quarterly objectives and target goals. Direct management of team members, including the PDS process.

 

 REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education:   Bachelor’s degree in business, with HR specialization.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years experience in HR, specifically in talent acquisition and 3 years HR management experience.
  • Language:    Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are required.  Full proficiency in English and French language is required.
